Bringing form & function to life. I use the awesome open source content management system Drupal to build functional & intuitive web solutions. Sites are brought to life in Eclipse using valid XHTML, CSS, jQuery and PHP to deliver a functional, cross-browser compatible (IE6 excluded) website that you can be proud of.
Creativity abounds. I create unique, attractive, usable designs from conceptualization to implementation. My tools of choice are Balsamiq for wireframing and Photoshop & Illustrator for crafting my designs. Powered by abnormal and possibly unsafe amounts of caffeine, I work tirelessly to deliver nothing but the best for my clients.

Hey there, I’m Chris Bubny. A web designer and Drupal enthusiast living in Orlando, FL and I LOVE MY JOB!
I've been designing websites for 5+ years and enjoy every second of it. I collaborate mostly on WEB/UI design and anything Drupal, but I occasionally dabble in corporate branding, SEO and strategic design. By day I spend my time designing awesome web solutions with the amazing folks at Local Wisdom. The rest of my blood, sweat and tears are spent slaving for my freelance clients.
When I'm not glued to my Mac, I can be found rock climbing, enjoying time with my family, listening to music or sipping a DD French Vanilla ice coffee, without which, I might perish.

Drupal is the most powerful Content Management System available. It can be used to build small, simple websites or larger social solutions. It's supported by a very talented and passionate community and has been used by thousands of sites from all types of industries including whitehouse.gov and every artist under the Sony label (more here). Drupal also has a very large plugin (modules) selection for just about anything you can find on the web today. There are plenty of solid Drupal shops out there so should I succumb to a caffeine overload, you won't be left in the dark.
A phone call or meeting over coffee is needed to kick things off. This is where we discuss the project details and create a strategic plan for implementing the design, development and deployment of your project.
The design phase is broken into two primary sections. First, we create a series of wireframes that illustrates the layout and describes the site functionality. Then, the real fun begins (for me anyway). Based on your input and approval of the wireframes, I will create a graphical mockup(s) that illustrates the aesthetic direction of the site.
Once you've approved the design, I will begin to build the framework, pages and any additional add-ons (e-commerce, social profiles, etc.) Your site will be built on a development or testing site giving you an opportunity to see my progress through completion.
I stumbled across Chris Spooner's contact page the other day and thought his "A few things to keep in mind" bit was a really good idea. I'm certainly not in the same class as Chris but I do run into several of the same obstacles he noted in his contact blurb. So, here's my own version of a few things to keep in mind before contacting me.
Presenting your budget upfront is key. It gives me a good idea as to how much time I can dedicate to your project from the get go and when I can get it on the calendar.
I'm by no means the worlds greatest designer, far from it actually, but I am proud of my work and the level of skill and success I've enjoyed doing something I truly love. My reputation and rapport with my clients (except for that one) has earned me a consistent stream of work. I appreciate serious budgets, well thought out projects and awesome people. If you're 'kind of thinking about maybe getting your website done' and/or 'just shopping around', it's safe to say I'm not the designer for you. I mean no disrespect, just saving us both the time it takes to send, receive and respond. Now, if you enjoy my style, like my work and you're ready to get the ball rolling, please give me a shout.
